THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE OF ISO CERTIFICATION
ISO is an abbreviation for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a seal of acceptance from a third party body that a company runs to one of the international standards developed and also published by the International Organization for Standardization.
It is an independent organization that specifies the requirement of a company in terms of quality, safety, and efficiency of products and services provided by the particular organization. It is very important for an organization to deliver high-quality products in order to sustain itself in the market. It also aims to reinforce quality, the promise of dedication, hard work in front of potential customers. ISO certifications help to improve the overall efficiency of an organization and gains enormous profit.
While there are several types of ISO certifications, they are all designed to ensure that an organization runs its business and services using international standards. For example, Bahrain has a literacy rate of over 97.46 % and also has organizations and industries. People in Bahrain opt for ISO certification in Bahrain for the overall growth and betterment of their organizations. The procedure for getting ISO certification is as follows:
1. Look at the Pre-requisition for ISO certification process.
Initially, organizations need to choose the type of ISO certification required for their business. There are various types of ISO certifications available. They are such as :
ISO 9001-2015 - Quality Management System (QMS).
ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System (EMS).
ISO 27001 - Information Security Management System (ISMS).
ISO 22000 - Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
ISO 45001 - Occupation Health and Safety (OHSAS). And many more. Your organization can be certified of more than one standard as well.
2. Choosing an ISO Certification Body.
ISO only develops and publishes they do not certify them. The certification will be provided by the external body. If you want your organization to get ISO certified, you will have to get the help of a third accreditation party. Firstly, Evaluate various ISO certification providers/institutions. Secondly, Consult and go through the procedure carefully.
3. Creating an agreement between the Organization and ISO Certification Body.
The agreement will define the rights and obligations of both parties and also includes liability issues, confidentiality, and access rights basically everything related to it.
4. Review of Quality documents.
The ISO auditor will go through all the documents like quality manuals & other related ones that are related to various policies & procedures being followed in the organization. The ISO auditor will find out the possible gaps against the requirements made by the ISO standards by reviewing them.
5. Certification Audit(Initial Audit)
After the gap has been fixed pointed by the ISO auditor, the next step is to audit the changes made by the organization and identify the possible Non-conformities that exist in the process.
After all the desired changes are made, the ISO auditor will do the final audit. Once the auditor is satisfied the final audit takes place and gets forwarded to the registration process.
6. Issue of ISO Certification
The Authorization body will issue the ISO certification to the organizations.
7. Surveillance Audits
Surveillance audits are conducted each year and the ISO certificate will be renewed once every three years in order to maintain the quality.
